Get Well Soon, dears..

Father and son in one hospital room..

With me, waiting for them, caught in the middle..

Now, that the fever’s down
Although they’re feeling a lot better,
the trombosit count is still going down..
So, actually now it’s the critical time
yet for them it’s the boring part..

Hillarious..
Watching them in one of their worse mood moments together..
Both of them got short fuses..
Both of them are the complaining type..

I have always been the one who take cares of the kids when they’re sick..
When one ( or more..it happened ) has to stay in a hospital, I’m the one who’ll stay together with them..
And my hubby stays home (with a lot of helps from the mbas) to take care of the others..
But this time, he also had to stay in the hospital..
so he’s “stuck” with a sick kid in the hospital, because someone have to stay home with the other kids, which means me..
*I’m starting to giggle now..bad..bad*

Rizqi, my oldest, he’s getting older and more independent every day..
But he’s still a kid, and right now, a sick one..
So, as independent as he is progressing now..still..
Well, I’m always here, at the hospital, up until it’s time for me to pick up the other kids from school, teach at the afternoon, and go back home at night ..
And in their opinion, I don’t need to be here..
They just open their mouth, whenever I asked them to take something..water, vitamin, juice..
Which I believe they wouldn’t have the time to remember..
And they do ask help to get things, to put away things, to buy something from the shop downstairs, ..
But still, they insist that they can do all that by themselves..or they can bell the nurse if they need to..

So, I just stayed there..minding my own business until one of them, or both..”needs” me to help them do something..impatiently..
or just doing the routine, reminding their vitamin intakes, water intakes, taking home their dirty clothes and bringing new ones..
Yet, I think it’s been annoying for them to see me ‘not doing’ anything..

So, now not only they’re annoyed of having to bedrest at the hospital though they don’t feel any pain anymore,
They’re also annoyed to be in one room together for some range of time,
and they’re annoyed of the lacking of movements due to the infus on their hand…
and to add that they’re annoyed with me being there, “doing nothing”..
Buaahahahaha…

Instead of making me annoyed..
Most of the time, it’s just hillarious..
and makes me want to joke about it all the time..
Waaakakakak…

This, the fact that I don’t get annoyed and joke around all the time, is starting to annoys them as well..
Qiiiiqiqiqiq…

Get Well Soon guys!!
My prayers will always be with you..
I, will always be with you..*lol*..through good and bad..

Love Family's Weddings..

Almost forgot..

The feeling of my big family togetherness, when there’s a wedding..
It was a blast..

A bit dissapointed,
that now, I don’t have the freedom to go to all the complicatedly fun sessions throughout the wedding..
And so did some of the cousins..
Now that we’re all grown up, and got school, work, or kids..
Really miss those good old days when we’re younger..
Whenever we’ve got a wedding in the big family, my parents would just allowed us to skip school for a couple of days..
because it has been always 2-3 days of partying..

A bit sad..
that it was the first big party after my grandma passed away..
something felt different..
Back when she was still healthy..
she just couldn’t stand still..
She would help, whatever she could..
and we would asked for her help..everytime..
Miss you eyang ti..love you forever..

But despite of everything,
it went great!!..
Just love moments when you can hang out with cousins, aunts, uncles, all the relatives and the big family’s closest friends..
not to mention, while you’re in your nice kebaya and suit..
all the joking around, gossiping, taking pictures together..
Great time!

Can’t wait for the next wedding..
See you guys..

My Moms

Wow..another Mother's Day..

My mother that I have known all my life is my mother now..Mama
My birth mother..Ibu,
passed away when I was 2,
and the fact of not remembering her at all,
still makes me feel guilty..
Still makes me feel sad..
How could I not remember at all?..

I realize, that I have all the blessing in the world to have Mama as my mom..
She's been there for me most of the way..
She's been all the mother that I could ask for..

But I just can't help not wondering about Ibu..
What would she say about the things that I've done?
Would she do the some thing?
What would she do differently?
What would I feel?
Would I feel differently?

For as long as I can remember,
I know for sure all the sacrifices that Mama has gone through for me..
And I appreciate and love her truly for that..
Still, I imagine what would Ibu do if she were in that situation..
Would I react differently looking at her sacrifices..

So everytime I go through something with Mama..
I would always think about Ibu..
In a way, both of them have been always with me..
And I would have always felt warm inside thinking that way..

Thank You Moms..
For being you..
And for being who you are for me..
May Allah bless Ibu's soul in heaven..
And may Allah bless Mama none the less..
Alhamdulillah..
Allah must love me that I've been blessed by having both of them as my moms..
Love you both..
In so many ways..

The Famous Lasagna Story..

My Grandma
loved to cook..
And she wasn't your usual grandma..
She's not the one with the old time recipes kind..
Mine always came up with new recipes..

If she went out to a restaurant..
And tasted something good..
She'd make it the next day..
and it tasted even better..
That's how she loved cooking..

I was a huge fan of her cooking..
Like all of her other families and friends..
Got lots of favorite dishes of hers..
And she loved to share
her recipes with the ones who likes to cook..
I've been using lots of her recipes..
since I had the need to throw a party and cook..lol
Love you eyang ti..

My mom
is the best cook ever..
So good, she doesn't use a recipe..
She just use her feeling..
And her feeling is so deliciously good..
You can ask her for her recipe..
But, don't even try to bet
that your cooking, which is based on her recipe..
will taste like hers..
Not a chance..

So, if you really want to know the ingredients..
You'd better follow her to the kitchen..
and see with your own eyes..
How she cooks..
and what does she put in her cooking..
From the beginning till the end..
Don't blink..lol

or..
I've got my own ways..
It's much much much easier..
I ask my mom's maid to take notes..
So then.. I'll get her recipe..
Lol..
Love you mama..

The famous lasagna of mine..
is a combination of my grandma's recipe and my mom's

My grandma learned how to make lasagna..
She gave me the recipe..
But I felt something's missing..

My mom makes the most outstandingly delicious macaroni schotel..
So delicious, she makes it so often..
I got the hang of it..

Then I was thinking..
What if..

The next thing..
Voila!!
My famous lasagna..
SERIOUSLY DELICIOUS..
OUTSTANDINGLY YUMMY..
SUPERBLY MOUTHWATERING..
FANTASTICALLY TASTY..
*lol..modest me..*

It's been my thing ever since..
Family gatherings, birthdays, arisan,..
I even make money from it..
My son's school, friends,..

Alhamdulillah..
For grandmas and mommies..
Don't you love them so much..
They're the best..ever!!
Hugs and kisses...

My Dear Dad

I'm sharing my stories
about daddies..
How they love us so..
They have their own way
to show us..
How they love us..

Sometimes I think,
It's got something to do
with his background..

My Dad has got 4 brothers..
and then..he's got a son and 3 daughters..

My Dad came from a struggling family..
and..he's been trying his best
to fulfill all needs of his 4 children

My Dad worked in the government..
with all the bureaucratization..
and..he had to deal with 4 children
with 3 - 5 age differences..
who became teenagers almost at the same time..

There would be always
something wrong
with what we did..
he always made us think..
we're not fulfilling his standard

If we did something wrong..
he always thinks..
that that was our way..
to offend him..

No friends of ours..
are polite enough.
No boyfriends of ours..
are good enough.

When I was younger..
I got emotional..
Cried..
and felt running away from home..
every time it happened..

When I get older..
I still get a bit emotional..
But then I turned ignorant..

Now,
He's still the same dad..
I appreciate his believes..
I respect his decisions..
I understand his reactions..
He loves us..

Love you too, dad!

Sissy!!

I've got two sisters..
I'm the hey!-I'm-the oldest one-you know one..
There's Vany, she's the not confident-awkward-panicking one..
And there's Mira, she's the whatever-I want to do one..

When we were younger..
we're not that close to one another..
Still competing to get my parent's love and care..
Don't need our sisters yet..lol

When we grew older..
we got closer and closer..
Sharing stories..
Feelings..
Emotions..
Needed more support from our sisters then..
Mom and dad were 'against' us..lol
In our minds back then..
They always think and believe that they know what's best for us..
They just don't understand..
They lived in a different era of time..
Yeah..right, girls..lol

Aah..Puberty..
Boyfriends..
Parties..
My parents were flipping out
Especially my dad..

The more they flip out..
The more we stick together..
Rules..
Time curfew..
Manners..
Attitude..
The way you dress..
The way you speak..
The way you respect your elders..
The way you treat people around you..
The way you do at school..

My dad was the meanest
when it comes to giving speech on what we did wrong..
The reasons we thought was ridiculous, back then..
It goes straight to your heart..
No mercy..
And it effects you..
For the rest of your life..
Painful..
Shatter your heart
into itsy bitsy pieces..
Exaggerating?
Just check with my sisters..
They'll back me up 100%

And we were the nicest daughters ever..
We always did whatever he told us..
Obeyed him all the way..
So it ended us..
cried on each others shoulders..
pissed off in each others room..
pouring our heart out..
Yeah..you know..
Dramatizing everything..

And when we mostly don't feel like sharing..
when we kept it to ourselves..
You just can feel their sympathy running through..
and you feel warm..
just to know that..

Getting more older..
Having serious boyfriends and all..
Us-sisters had live together without our parents around..
So,
We watched each others back..
We went through our hardest problem ever..
But, we also had fun..
Movie week, eating in, dining out, going out, hanging out..
Not all the time..occasionally..
And the good thing with sisterhood is..
It doesn't matter!
You'll always have your sister!
No matter how you screwed up..

Now,
Being married and all..
Well, 2 of us..
Mira is still a bit tangled up..
She's back living with my parents after not living with them for quite some time..
And you can imagine what that means..
LOL..my poor lil sissy..
Hang in there sis..

We don't hang out as much..
Quite rare, unfortunately..
But we try like crazy to get together..
And every time we do it..
It's so breathtaking..
How our kids click together..
Cousins!!
How cool is that..
Hoping they 'get along' forever..

Hey, by the way, daddies..
could you watch them for a while..
So mommies and auntie Mira
can sneak away..
and get some sister time..
Let's go girls!!
